Philip Le Liu

Cr Philip Le Liu is a current councillor on the Melbourne City council and a local resident within Hoddle grid for 6+ years. During council, he has voted and advocated for more financial support for local businesses, giving residents more say in their rates and supported students during the lockdown. He also voted firmly against having an injecting room in the city (regardless where it is) and a pill testing trail in the city.

During COVID-19, Philip used his network within the local business and community groups to organise donations of more than 20,000+ masks, 5,000+ sanitsers, and other much needed items to the City of Melbourne, and other non-for-profits. Philip is also regularly involved in philanthropy and helps raise money for Art organisations in the city.

Cr Philip Le Liu was recently recognised as one of Australia’s “40 under 40 most influential Asian-Australians” and the overall winner of the government / public sector category. He is a former “Big Four” Management Consultant and is currently a start-up entrepreneur and investor.
